Do you have a dog or puppy? Or a puppy/dog nephew or niece? Do you spoil them? Well I have a puppy nephew and he gets all of my spoiling since I do not have children or a pet of my own. Bruce Lee. German Shepherd. Silly and a sweetheart. I know some of you may think I am ridiculous, but hey I just love him!
Any who! This year for his second birthday, I made him a small birthday cake. It was easy to make and he absolutely enjoyed it. It uses four simple ingredients to make a two layer cake. For the frosting, Greek yogurt. I used blueberry and banana yogurt, one for each layer.
For Bruce Lee’s birthday, my sister, brother-in-law and I get together to celebrate with the puppers. We sing “happy birthday” and then play a song for him to enjoy his cake and receive his present. For his first birthday, by our friends’ request, we played “Who Let the Dogs Out” by Baha Men. This year my sister chose the song “Bad and Boujee” by Migos.
Coconut Honey Puppy Birthday Cake
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons Refined Coconut Oil, melted
2 Tablespoons Honey
3 Eggs
1 3/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
Greek Yogurt, for frosting
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease two 7 ounce ramekins; set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, honey and eggs. Stir in the flour until totally absorbed.
Divide the batter between the two ramekins. Bake until lightly browned and firm when pressed in the center, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Cool in the ramekins, then remove them and frost the top of each cake layer and then place one cake atop the other. Time for the pup to enjoy!
